HIER & JETZT: Connections (HUJ:C) is an exchange and residency program organized by artists for artists. The project calls upon international artists in exile who live in Berlin and seek a place for artistic production. The initiative HIER & JETZT: Connections defines exile as the involuntary loss of one’s social context and working environment in their country of origin for an uncertain period of time.
The project is complemented by a series of lectures, workshops, and discussions held by artists, experts, and researchers in order to create a space for dialogue, mutual learning and understanding.
Successful applicants are invited to work at B.L.O. Ateliers in Berlin for a period of three months.

HIER & JETZT: Connections (HUJ:C) ist ein von Künstler:innen für Künstler:innen organisiertes Austausch- und Residenzprogramm. Das Projekt richtet sich an internationale Künstler:innen im Exil, die in Berlin leben und einen Ort für ihre künstlerische Produktion suchen. Die Initiative HIER & JETZT: Connections definiert Exil als den unfreiwilligen Verlust des sozialen Kontextes und des Arbeitsumfeldes im Herkunftsland auf unbestimmte Zeit.
Das Projekt wird durch eine Reihe von Vorträgen, Workshops und Diskussionen ergänzt, die von Künstler:innen, Experten und Forschern abgehalten werden, um einen Raum für Dialog, gegenseitiges Lernen und Verständnis zu schaffen.
Erfolgreiche Bewerber:innen werden eingeladen, für einen Zeitraum von drei Monaten in den B.L.O. Ateliers in Berlin zu arbeiten.
