These Layers Are Not Mine

Rondelle is round, and round reminds me of repetition. Repetition means endless chances.
Life is a collection of repetitions that build us up, layer by layer. But the question is: are we aware of what is being built within us? And how much of what we carry was actually built by us?
The human psyche is not solid. It is made of layers—experiences, memories, habits, failures, expectations, and traces left by others. Some layers we choose; others are placed upon us before we are even aware of them.
Perhaps we are constantly repeating what has been given to us, while believing that we are building ourselves.

The realization is that these layers are not fixed. Through conscious repetition, failure, reflection, and the courage to begin again, we can change them. We can add new layers, remove others, or simply learn to see them differently.
And maybe that is where art begins: in becoming aware of what has been built within us, questioning what we call our own, and finding beauty in the possibility of changing it.
Perhaps beauty lies not in what we have become, but in our ability to keep becoming.
