About the performances:

Chirigota de Berlin is a group formed by Andalusian migrants who reinterpret the Cádiz carnival tradition from the diaspora. Through lyrics full of satire, social critique, and humor, they create a musical performance that connects with contemporary realities, addressing themes of identity, migration, and life abroad—while preserving the festive and accessible spirit of the chirigota.

CandomBerlin is an Afro-Uruguayan collective dedicated to keeping the tradition of candombe alive in Berlin. Through their drums, they create a space of encounter where rhythm becomes living memory, resistance, and celebration. Their music, deeply rooted in Afro-descendant culture from the Río de la Plata, invites the audience to feel the communal and spiritual power of candombe.
